Phase 1 – Under Construction
Phase One of construction is currently underway on this 36-acre, mixed-use project. It includes plans to complete 198 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with indoor and outdoor amenities which include 24 affordable homes along Taaffe Street and 85,000 square feet of retail, scheduled to open in late 2018. Additional Community benefits include:
- $20 million of public improvements including the temporary reopening of Redwood Square in November, 2017.
- The extension of Murphy Avenue and connection to McKinley Avenue.
- Streetscape and landscape improvements to the Murphy Avenue/McKinley Avenue connection, along with new traffic signals & median improvements.
Target and Macy’s department stores will continue to serve CityLine Sunnyvale, with parking for customers in two existing garage structures and a surface lot just east of Macy’s. Also in the works at the corner of Murphy and McKinley Avenues is a Whole Foods Store and AMC movie theater.
Phase 2 – Being Permitted
Cityline has submitted conceptual plans for an additional residential units along Iowa Street. These include one- and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom townhomes.
Phase 3 – Pursuing Entitlements
A vibrant mixed-use development is planned for Block 3, adjacent to existing Macy’s, and Block 6.
